How Transcript Ordering Works
STEP 1:
Place
Order
- Order through your school website OR through the Clearinghouse website
- Read your school’s welcome page carefully for their transcript policy
STEP 2:
Order Sent
to School
- The Clearinghouse sends the order to your school for processing
- Your school owns the transcript and determines delivery options and cost
STEP 3:
Order
Processed
- School provides the Clearinghouse a PDF of your transcript for electronic orders
- School or the Clearinghouse mails your paper transcript
- You are notified if your school placed a hold on your transcript
STEP 4:
Place
Order
- Your transcript is sent to the recipient
- Recipients have 30 days to download electronic transcripts
- Contact your school if you need to request a refund
STEP 5:
Track
Order
- Track order status and/or resend download link to the recipient
- Get tips on downloading a transcript through My Student Center
The Clearinghouse does not create, retain, or edit your transcript.
