  • Preparing for Workforce Pell: Resources to Help Your Organization Navigate Implementation

    Oct 21, 2026 | NSCBlog, Workforce Pell

Workforce Pell is creating new opportunities for eligible students to access federal financial aid for certain short-term, workforce-focused education and training programs offered by accredited institutions, expanding access to pathways that can help learners gain skills and credentials aligned with workforce and economic needs.

As institutions, states, employers, accreditors, and workforce organizations prepare for implementation, the National Student Clearinghouse’s new Workforce Pell Resource Center provides clear, reliable information, state-level implementation insights, and practical resources to help stakeholders navigate this new opportunity.

According to Melissa Buckley, Senior Director of Strategy and Market Insights at the Clearinghouse, “Workforce Pell is more than a new funding opportunity. It is creating new expectations around accountability, outcomes measurement, and coordination among states, institutions, employers, and workforce partners. With deep experience supporting outcomes reporting and data-driven decision-making, the National Student Clearinghouse has created a Workforce Pell resource that will help stakeholders better navigate this new opportunity.”
