Bridget Sedlock
Chief People Experience Officer (CPEO)
I chose the Clearinghouse because I was interested in joining an organization that was mission-driven and was a place at which I could be proud of the organization’s work. The Clearinghouse supports the education sector in many ways — but the part that is most impactful to me is the work we do around access to education for all, regardless of geography or social status.
Ms. Sedlock joined the Clearinghouse in August of 2016 to lead human resources, internal communications, and administrative services across the organization. Her focus is on finding and retaining talent, developing staff at all levels, promoting staff engagement, strengthening company culture, and creating a positive employee experience grounded in inclusiveness and belonging. She is at her best when she sees her colleagues thriving and enjoying the work they do.
Before joining the Clearinghouse, she spent 18 years at the North American corporate headquarters of Rolls-Royce in various HR roles that included running the international expatriate program, recruitment, compensation and benefits, and employment policy and compliance. As an HR business partner at Rolls-Royce, she supported a remote team of HR professionals who provided advisory services to over 5,000 employees. She grew up overseas as the daughter of a U.S. diplomat, which originally led her to the international HR field.
Ms. Sedlock graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in government and foreign affairs.
When she is not working, she enjoys traveling and looking for new concert venues and outdoor spaces. She is a big sports fan and loves to support the local teams, both collegiate and professional, especially baseball, basketball, and football.
