An above-normal 2020 Atlantic hurricane season is expected, according to forecasters with NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30. The National Student Clearinghouse recognizes the challenging circumstances institutions encounter from a hurricane.

If your school is impacted by a hurricane or major storm, we want you to know that the Clearinghouse is committed to:

  • Working closely with you to ensure your enrollment reporting compliance processing meets the NSLDS timelines
  • Actively communicating with NSLDS and the Department of Education on this matter to determine how we can best support your institution
  • Keeping the education community informed as we know more through email, our blog, Compliance Central, and social media
  • Providing 24/7 service to schools and their students through our online services: DegreeVerify, EnrollmentVerify, Student Self-Service, and Transcript Services

The Clearinghouse stands ready to support the education community impacted by a major storm or hurricane. If your school is impacted and needs assistance from the Clearinghouse, contact your Client Success Manager.
