Research Development and Philanthropy

The National Student Clearinghouse’s Research Development and Philanthropy team supports and enhances the organization’s overall mission and vision by helping the education and workforce communities address their unique data and research needs. Our team partners with education and workforce organizations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to provide the custom research data and analysis necessary to inform strategic decision making, program evaluation, policymaking, and research for a wide range of stakeholders.

Our team’s work leverages the Clearinghouse’s strengths in new ways to help our partner organizations achieve their missions, ultimately benefiting learners nationwide.

Meet the Team

Zhewei Gregory

Managing Director

Ms. Gregory joined the Clearinghouse in 2022 as the managing director of Research Development and Philanthropy. She leads custom research as a new business vertical, builds philanthropic contributions to the Clearinghouse, and manages these valuable relationships. Before joining the Clearinghouse, she worked for Georgia State University as the executive director for the Office of the Senior Vice President of Student Success and for the University Innovation Alliance as a fellow and project lead for the Completion Grants Program. Ms. Gregory also worked for Wake Forest University as research director and Georgia Institute of Technology as a faculty member. Originally from China, Ms. Gregory has a PhD in translation studies from Kent State University in 2012.

Meghan Keiser

Grants Manager

Ms. Keiser has been with the Clearinghouse for five years and is the grants manager, building and maintaining relationships with foundations and other entities that wish to or currently support the Clearinghouse. She also serves as a liaison to leaders across the company who seek funding to ensure effective cross-collaboration and communication occur. Before serving in her current role as grants manager, Ms. Keiser helped institutions and educational and outreach programs across the country onboard with relevant Clearinghouse services. Prior to her tenure with the Clearinghouse, she worked in career development at Mount Holyoke College and ran a career coaching business for mid-level professionals. Ms. Keiser has a bachelor’s degree from Franklin and Marshall College, a master’s in education degree in student affairs and higher education from Kutztown University.

Josh Leake

Research Operations Manager

Mr. Leake has been with the Clearinghouse for more than a decade, working to come up with solutions and finding ways forward for unusual requests. Since 2015, Mr. Leake has taken the lead on custom research requests coming into the Clearinghouse, from initial conversations to assistance with project design and logistical planning, to ensuring delivery and satisfaction of results. Before joining the Clearinghouse, Mr. Leake worked in public schools as a teacher and registrar, later moving on to work for the MCAT program to support its modernization efforts.

Mark Koveleski

Manager of Strategic Partnerships

Mr. Koveleski has more than 14 years of experience cultivating high-yield business relationships in the education sector. In his current role as manager of Strategic Partnerships, he both manages and continues to grow a portfolio of the Clearinghouse’s most strategic business relationships exceeding $10MM in annual revenue. Mr. Koveleski holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Susquehanna University and Georgetown University.

Matthew Renn

Research Specialist

Mr. Renn is a Research Specialist supporting custom research projects by managing client relationships and packaging Clearinghouse-managed data to meet partners’ research needs. Prior to joining the Clearinghouse, he supported public higher education institutions as a data analyst at the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities. Mr. Renn got his start in the education space as a college adviser with the College Advising Corps, an organization that aims to increase the number of students from underrepresented backgrounds who make it to and through college. He holds a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Maryland College Park and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Olivia Burke

Data Analyst

Ms. Burke joined the Clearinghouse in 2022 after her graduation from the University of Virginia. At UVA, she received a bachelor’s degree in education in 2021 and a master’s in education with a quantitative analytics concentration in 2022. During her time at UVA, Ms. Burke directed the Youth Action Lab, which facilitates youth participatory action research with local youth and amplifies young people’s voice in the community.
