Event Details

Even as overall community college enrollment has begun to level off after steep pandemic losses, transfer from community college continues to decline. This webinar, based on the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center’s Transfer and Progress fall 2022 report, offers the latest updates on transfer and mobility for community college students.

The webinar will highlight disparities in transfer patterns among student subgroups (defined by gender, age, race/ethnicity, field of study, and—for the first time—by students’ income background), as well as gaps in access to transfer pathways across different types of community colleges based on urbanicity and program orientation. In addition, we will discuss the pandemic impact on academic progress and success outcomes post-transfer, with a focus on upward transfer students. During the webinar, attendees will see how to navigate our Transfer and Progress dashboard to drill down into more detailed data at the national and state levels.
