Transcript
What are newly reportable programs? Newly reportable programs are substantially similar programs that have become eligible for inclusion in the student level report for the current 2025 reporting cycle but were not reported in the previous cycle because they did not meet the threshold of 30 completers across the four most recently completed award years. If your institution reported with the clearing house in the previous reporting cycle and has CIP code families that meet this criteria, there is an additional newly reportable programs cohort file consisting of TA records in step two of the student level report. If you are currently working on the award year, the file will appear in step two. If you haven't started, the file will appear when you generate the cohort file. For transitional reporting, data for the prior two award years are included. For standard reporting, data for the prior seven award years are included with an additional award year if there are qualifying graduate programs. The file name is based on your reporting type selected. Standard files are named award years 2016 to 2024 and transitional files are named award years 2022 to 2024 as there may be data included for those award year ranges in the new file. This file is dependent on the current awardy year file. If the files need to be regenerated, you will need to regenerate the current award year file. If you have completed the award year 2024 to 2025 student level report file, you must first navigate to step four, data corrections. Select request SLR with corrections. Download and save the file. This will retain the latest corrections in proper format to avoid additional work. If you've started working on the program level report, before you reject the current SLR and request a new SLR, navigate to step three of the program level report and select download PLR with corrections. Now, let's download the newly reportable programs cohort file and take a brief look. The newly reportable programs cohort file is similar to the current awardy year file, except it includes only TA records for all prior award years aligned with your institution's chosen reporting type, standard or transitional. Populate the financial aid TA fields. Do not add new records to the newly reportable programs cohort file. Also, do not modify the values in prepopulated "NSC" source fields. Doing so will cause errors. To exclude a record from the student level report, use the invalid flag field by populating the appropriate reason code. To learn more about these files, access the student level reporting specifications guide. When you save the file to prepare it for upload, save it with the file name of your sixdigit op newlyreportable programs.csv. When the file is ready, you'll go through the same file upload, data correction, and submission to NSLDS steps. In step five, accept and send. Clearinghouse consolidates the files and sends to NSLDS. You can work on the program level report after the current award year is complete. You don't need to wait for the newly reportable programs file to be completed.
