Learn about SSCR Error Code 26 and how to correct the SSCR error on the Clearinghouse’s secure site. This error code is related to an Anticipated Graduation Date that is before the Certification Date.

Welcome to the tutorial on SSCR error code 26. The purpose of this tutorial is to explain what SSCR error code 26 is, what causes it, and how to resolve the error.

Per the NSLDS, sscr error code 26 is caused by an anticipated graduation that is before the certification date of the record.
This error occurs when the Anticipated Graduation Date (AGD) is equal to or before the Certification Date of the record.

SSCR error code 26 occurs when the Anticipated Graduation Date (AGD) is equal to or before the Certification Date of the record. To resolve, update the AGD to a future date if the student is currently enrolled. If the student is not enrolled for the current term, update the student with a separated status with their last date of attendance.

Now we will go over how to view and correct a student's record.

To resolve SSCR error code 66, first access the SSCR error report by logging onto the Clearinghouse’s secure site.

After logging in, go under the ‘Student Reporting’ tab. And once there, click on the ‘Enrollment Reporting’ link.

On the next page, go under the ‘NSLDS Reporting’ tab. This will bring you to the list of SSCR error reports returned for your school with the most recent reports at the top of the list. Click on the hyperlinked number under the ‘# of Students with Errors’ column to access the list of students with errors.

This will bring you to the list of students with errors. Click on the hyperlinked SSN for the student with error code 66 that needs to be corrected.

The next page will show the student’s editable record. Update the enrollment status and status effective date to reflect the student's separation status and last date of attendance if the student is not currently enrolled. Or update the anticipated graduation date to a future date if the student is currently enrolled. After updating the student record as needed, click the green ‘Submit’ button to send the record to the Clearinghouse for processing.
