Welcome. The purpose of this demonstration is to help you register with SPEEDE. The first step is completing the SPEEDE registration page. The registration page is located at the website SPEEDE server org and it is under the register page.
[Here is what we will need: OPEID, FICE, ATP, DUNS, Tax ID.]
The first piece of information the Clearinghouse needs is your institution code. There are different types of codes available depending on your type of institution. If you are a postsecondary institution, we prefer your OPEID or FICE code. For high schools, the DUNS code is preferable. If you do not have a code available for your institution, we can also accept your tax ID.
Next, we need the name of your institution and the state it is located in. Then the first and last name, phone number and email address of your SPEEDE primary contact. Primary contact is the person with whom SPEEDE support will interact. In addition, his or her information is displayed on the public SPEEDE registry list so other institutions can contact them. Please note that automated notification emails will be sent to the email address you enter for your primary contact. There can only be one email contact per SPEEDE account, so we advise using a distribution email list. The technical contact is the person to whom we will reach out to regarding connecting your institution or organization to SPEEDE. Whether it's SPEEDE user account access or network addresses.
In the next set of videos, we will discuss how to use an account on the SPEEDE server, what is required if you choose to use your own server and discuss how to conduct testing. If you have questions about SPEEDE please contact speede-support@studentclearinghouse.org.
