What if I didn’t report year 1 with the Clearinghouse but want to report going forward?

If you didn’t use the Clearinghouse for the first year of reporting, but want to use our FVT/GE reporting service for the current year, contact the Clearinghouse to notify us of the Standard or Transitional reporting type your school elected in the initial year and indicate that the 2024 FVT/GE reporting year data was submitted directly to NSLDS.

Once the analyst alerts you that your 2025 reporting election was added, set up your institution’s encryption key in the Report Encryption tab of the service profile. You can use your own PGP key or use the suggested app. You’ll generate a public key, paste the entire key including dashes into the box and save it. This ensures the data files are transmitted securely.

Your reporting type election can be verified using the Reports Management tab of the service profile. Once confirmed, you can start with the current year reporting in the before you begin sections. The Before You Begin sections should be reviewed and worked first for accuracy.

The Qualifying Graduate Programs will need to be attested for these programs to be identified as part of your Program Level Report. The Graduate Status Reconciliation data will available based on the current enrollment data. It is very important to review these records and make any required updates.

If you have would like to use the Clearinghouse in year 2 and reported directly to NSLDS in year 1 or have any questions, please reach out to us.
