The six-year outcomes dashboard provides a unique view into outcomes for cohort institutions. The new dashboard differs from our traditional PDP outcomes dashboard because it looks at student activity from the cohort institutions perspective and does not track activity that occurs at other institutions after transfer. It is also limited to cohorts who have completed six full academic years.
The six-year outcomes dashboard can be found by selecting six year outcomes from the drop-down on the main outcomes dashboard.
The dashboard is broken down into two sections, grouped six year outcomes and detailed six year outcomes. The grouped section outcomes are divided between completers, students who have earned a credential at the cohort institution, no award transfer, students who have transferred from the cohort institution to another post-secondary institution without earning a degree or credential, still enrolled and not enrolled. The detailed section breaks down those grouped categories into more granular categories where you can see counts for students who have earned degrees for each credential type.
The outcomes are a hierarchy. So like if a student earned a bachelor's degree and an associates degree, they're being counted in the bachelor's completion. There's a hierarchy to it. And for students who are no longer enrolled, the number of credits they earned at the cohort institution and including credits indicated that were transferred into the cohort institution.
With all of our dashboards, the real power comes from the ability to disagregate our visualizations and apply dimension breakdowns and filters.
Of note, unlike some of our other dashboards, these visualizations are limited to only cohorts who have completed six years and the available filters are adjusted as such.
This is an easy way for a 4-year institution to see at six years, this number of students got a bachelor's degree.
The dashboard will default to the most recently completed six-year cohort.
