Transcript Ordering August 2019 Release Notes
The National Student Clearinghouse is pleased to present the Transcript Ordering August 2019 release, which provides the following significant user experience improvements.
Masking of Social Security number (SSN) to Internal Users Based on Role
Two new school user roles have been added to Transcript Services. The new roles are for schools who do not want all their users to view the complete SSN (if this option is used) on the Transcript Services tab of our school secure site. The new user roles have the same access as the normal roles, except the SSN is masked up to the last 5 digits.
Other Enhancements
- Display the full country name on the ordering site for addresses outside the United States
- Prevent extra spaces from being entered in the email address, student ID, or Social Security number fields. This avoids issues that can be caused by requestors who copy and paste or accidentally add spaces when entering information into these fields.
- Enable school users who use SecurePrint to reduce the school fee before completing the order on our school secure site
- For Ellucian and Generic API Integrated schools, a canceled email will be sent to the requestor whenever an order is canceled by a school user or auto-canceled by the system due to non-completion of a consent form or a cleared transcript hold
If you are experiencing issues with your service, you can check on the availability of our online system on the Service Availability Status page.
