Four New Benchmarking Dashboards for Institutions

The beta release of the new benchmarking dashboards functionality is now available within Tableau for institutions that participate in the Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP).

Benchmarking dashboards are available for these four key performance indicators (KPIs):

1. CAR (Credit Accumulation Rate)
2. CCR (Credit Completion Ratio)
3. Outcomes
4. R/P (Retention/Persistence)

Shown below is a sample of the Credit Accumulation Rate (CAR) dashboard.

Institutions can use the benchmark dashboards to compare their own outcomes against those of a group of similar institutions to identify and address areas for improvement, raise questions about the efficacy of current processes and practices, and craft action plans to close key performance gaps. Peer groups are based on:

• 2-year public by state
• 4-year public/private by state
• Carnegie Classification
• HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities)
• HSI (Hispanic-Serving Institutions)
