Need help identifying the services and webinars available to you?

In the title, most of our webinars have the service line listed before the focus of the webinar so it’s easy for you to identify what’s relevant to your institution or organization. Research and non-service specific web events, except where noted, are open to anyone interested.

Secondary institutions (high schools, districts, middle schools): Transcript Center*, StudentTracker for High Schools, DiplomaVerify

*Transcript Center is based on state-level agreements and currently open to schools in Wyoming and Tennessee.

Custom Research Webinar for Students

Understanding the Research Center’s Custom Research (45 minutes)
Based on feedback from colleges and universities, we are offering a webinar for students who conduct independent educational research and are considering using the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center’s custom research. Please share this information with students who are looking to do custom independent educational research.

Often new researchers are informed by more experienced colleagues, “Oh, you need to talk to the Clearinghouse for that.” But what does the National Student Clearinghouse actually have to offer by way of data and analytical resources? What restrictions does the Clearinghouse work under when it comes to providing data? What is the process for working with the Clearinghouse for your specific research needs?

Our research operations manager, Joshua Leake, will provide a general overview of the data and services available for custom research, review the process involved for establishing a working relationship with the Clearinghouse, and discuss the time and costs involved. For students and educational researchers looking to learn more about the Clearinghouse’s Custom Research service.

Introduction to the Clearinghouse for Colleges & Universities

The Clearinghouse’s Value to Postsecondary Institutions and Education (60 minutes)
Most colleges and universities have been participating with the National Student Clearinghouse for over 20 years. Why did your institution choose to participate? Why do institutions continue to participate? What is the value of participation with the Clearinghouse?

This session will cover:

  • Why institutions voluntarily participate with the Clearinghouse
  • The registrar’s office without the Clearinghouse

We’ll cover the process of submitting your file, best practices, and correcting errors and warnings.

Enrollment Reporting: The Lender & NSLDS SSCR Process (30 minutes)
Examine why the enrollment reporting schedule exists, how files are processed, and how all of this relates to the NSLDS SSCR reporting process and schedule.

Compliance Reporting: Your Institution’s NSLDS Enrollment Reporting Statistics Score (60 minutes)
Join us for a close and critical look at what the NSLDS calculation score means, along with the resources available should a question arise regarding the NSLDS calculated score.

Enrollment Reporting: The Enrollment File Submission Process (30 minutes)
Join us to learn why the schedule exists, how files are processed, and explore the enrollment reporting schedules as they relate to the process of reporting to NSLDS and non-direct lenders.

Is your university or college new to the Postsecondary Data Partnership or looking for a refresher? Join us before the November 13th effective date to review the general submission process for the Postsecondary Data Partnership and how to manage file submissions for Fall 2020. For colleges and universities participating in the Postsecondary Data Partnership. Colleges and universities that are considering participating and are interested in seeing the submission process are welcome to attend.

Come learn about StudentTracker for Colleges and Universities. This webinar will provide a high-level overview of the Clearinghouse, StudentTracker for Colleges and Universities, how you can use it, and the different search options available. For postsecondary institutions active with StudentTracker for Colleges & Universities or institutions looking to learn more about StudentTracker for Colleges and Universities.

Make the Most of Your DiplomaVerify Service (30 minutes)
Your high school or district has signed up for DiplomaVerify, now what? Join us for tips on how you can maximize the benefits of the service for your high school or district and help your requestors transition seamlessly to this new process. For high schools or districts, whether you’re currently using DiplomaVerify, or a high school or district interested in learning more about how it can help you.
