Do you send enrollment data to the Clearinghouse in an EDI format? (Typically, this only applies to institutions using versions of Banner® by Ellucian or some iterations of Jenzabar.) If so, we want to make you aware of our upcoming EDI file intake enhancement.

In response to requests from numerous institutions that submit enrollment data in an EDI format and to ensure students are reported and accounted for properly, we are enhancing our EDI intake process to map select errors, which were previously being rejected from the file, to our Error Resolution on the Web platform. This will enable you to resolve most EDI submission errors on our secure website in the same way you process other enrollment file errors and warnings. If any rejected records remain on your EDI file, they will be sent to you via your FTP account so you can resubmit them.

As a result of this change, you may notice one or both of the following differences in upcoming EDI file submissions:

  • The total records loaded are higher than in previous submissions. This is because fewer records have been rejected from the file during the EDI intake process.
  • You have more or different errors and warnings on the file. This is because students who were previously rejected off of the file before it was loaded are now available for your review on our secure site.
