We are happy to announce our latest enhancement to ensure your data quality needs, Enrollment Reporting’s five-point program match. In order to remain consistent with existing NSLDS guidance for how a program is defined, the Clearinghouse will implement our five-point program record match enhancement on April 8, 2018.
The NSLDS Enrollment Reporting Guide defines a unique program as “a combination of the school’s eight-digit OPEID number, the CIP code, the Credential Level, and the Published Program Length (as reported in or converted to years using the combination of the Published Program Length, Published Program Length Measurement, and Weeks in Title IV Academic Year).” After the Clearinghouse implements the 5-point program-level matching enhancement, incoming program-level data will be reviewed using these same elements: OPEID, CIP Code, Program Credential Level, Published Program Length, and Program Weeks in a Title IV Academic Year. In addition to ensuring consistency with NSLDS guidance, this enhancement will also assist your institution in ensuring appropriate program-level reporting, preventing NSLDS Enrollment Roster errors and students from being rejected once data is reported out to NSLDS during the SSCR response process.
With the increase in NSLDS scrutiny on program-level reporting accuracy, and the Clearinghouse’s commitment to delivering compliance-driven logic that supports accurate enrollment reporting, we are incorporating a five-point program match to meet growing data integrity expectations.
By enhancing our data logic checks to incorporate all five-points of the program-level detail (OPEID, CIP, Program Credential Level, Published Program Length, and Program Weeks in Title IV Academic Year), the Clearinghouse can ensure accurate reporting based on the data provided by the school. This in turn protects the student’s loss of interest subsidy.
